The photoshoot with Rayson was everything that we have ever imagined. I remember telling Rayson how nervous I felt before the shoot as I’ve never been shot before. I was afraid that the pictures wouldn’t turn out nice as I didn’t know how to pose. He was telling me to relax and just have fun throughout the process. And I certainly did! It didn’t take long for us to warm up with Rayson when he first came to our hotel. He was approachable, humorous and connected with us almost immediately.

What I admire most about him is his natural flare in what he does. He knows exactly what works and the best thing is he didn’t even plan it beforehand. We went with the flow and trusted him in doing what he does best. We love how he cracks jokes and bonded with us, which makes us feel comfortable around him. It didn’t feel like we were being shot by someone we barely knew for a day, and this is what we appreciate the most - to let loose and be ourselves!

We also love how Rayson shot us at the old school tailor shop along the streets with his amazing guidance and skills. He somehow knew what angles work best for us, even more than we know ourselves! Even though we have never heard of Batu Pahat before the shoot, we love how quaint and homely it feels like being away from the crowd and cities. The people around us were friendly and it didn’t feel like we are at somewhere foreign.

The whole experience felt amazing as we didn’t plan exactly how and where to shoot. I remember we were in the car and drove pass a wet market. Rayson saw it and spontaneously asked if we are up for a shoot at the market and if we mind the fishy smell. We went ahead with it and thankfully it was one of the best decisions made. I love how the pictures turned out as it wasn’t those typical kinda shots with a nice scenery.

We love how he manages to capture us in our natural state and focus on letting us have fun so that he could shot us candidly. One of the fondest memories were us being shot at the beach and we got ourselves muddy while having fun at the seaside.

We had the honour to be shot at his studio and his home which we loved so so much. It definitely opened up our eyes as he was more than just a photographer, he designed his own studio and home with vintage collectibles from places all around the world. He painstakingly sourced for each item on his own as he has a passion for interior design. It was admirable and we love how rustic our shots have turned out. It was simply timeless and we felt like we went back to the 80s.

We ended up being shot at multiple locations in a day and it felt amazingly satisfying. Thank you Rayson for giving us a chance to experience a shoot with you that didn’t feel like a shoot.

We have truly enjoyed ourselves and getting to know you. If given another chance, we would do it all over again!
