THE SWEDEN
“Probably one of most unforgettable memories for the year 2020 is our trip to Sweden before the Movement Control Order of Malaysia started” said YanDha.
Sanren once again tick-off their bucket list of countries to Sweden this March. Together with their couple, Joel and Cherryl, 5 of them flew to Northern Europe for their pre wedding shoot. They spent a week in Sweden, travelling to places such as Kiruna and Stockholms.
Among these places, there are two places you should put into your travel itinerary if you have the chance to travel to Sweden, which is Husky Dreams Kiruna and Ice Hotel Sweden!
HUSKY DREAMS KIRUNA
Husky Dreams was born slowly over the course of three years. Like many things in life, consequences, coincidences and a bit of bad luck were necessary to shape our new way of life with Husky Dreams.
Almost at the same time, Per and Jenni were studying to become wilderness guides. Jenni in Finland and Per in Kiruna. We didn't know each other back then, but we both started to develop plans how to live a lifestyle with nature. We met in Kiruna in autumn 2017 and not long after that we found out that we would be three people in nine months. We started to rent a tipi in Airbnb and cooked outside for our guests. It slowly became very popular and we started to expand our plans.
Ivar is a straightforward, fearless little boy. Super cute, but with an evil bite. Ivar was a dog sled before his birth and was on his first mountain tour at the age of 5 months. Having grown up with many dogs and puppies, Ivar sometimes thinks that he is a dog himself.
From the time Per and Jenni met in 2017, they had three polar dogs, a snowmobile and a tipi. By autumn 2018 we had grown to eight sled dogs, two snowmobiles, two dog sleds, a tepee tent and a caravan. The business grew slowly and the money we earned was invested in our dream. In the spring of 2019 we had 20 pulling dogs and a sledge stable, but the house and land where we started our business became too small.
With much luck and support from our parents, who trusted in our success, we bought our new house outside of Kiruna, in Krokvik. A big old cottage house from 1910 with a big yard, ideal for many working dogs.
Today we are proud to have nineteen hard working adult dogs, fourteen puppies and future stars, a large fleet of dog sleds, four snowmobiles, a cabin, two caravans, a tipi tent and one room in our large cottage house.
Husky Tours. Before we start the sled tours, our sled guides will give you detailed instructions on how the sled works and how to steer it. Before going outside to put the dogs in front of the sledges, we'll equip you with warm winter clothes. Two people can always share a sleigh.

ICE HOTEL SWEDEN
The ICE HOTEL is a hotel rebuilt each year with snow and ice in the village of Jukkasjärvi, in northern Sweden, about 17 kilometres from Kiruna. It is the world's first ice hotel.[1]
After its first opening in 1990, the hotel has been rebuilt each year from December to April.[The hotel, including the chairs and beds, is constructed from snow and ice blocks taken from the nearby Torne River. Artists are invited to create different rooms and decorations made by ice. Besides bedrooms, there is a bar, with glasses made of ice and an ice chapel that is popular with marrying couples. The structure remains below freezing, around −5 °C .
In 1989, Japanese ice artists visited the area and created an exhibition of ice art.
In Spring1990, French artist Jannot Derid held an exhibition in a cylinder-shaped igloo in the same area. One night there were no rooms available in the town, so some of the visitors asked for permission to spend the night in the igloo at the exhibition hall. They slept in the igloo in sleeping bags on top of reindeer skins, and were the first guests of the "hotel".
Ice Hotel in the Media
In 2008, the hotel was featured in a documentary which was broadcast by Discovery Channel and National Geographic.
In 2010, the hotel was visited in The Amazing Race 17 where one team has to sit on ice chairs for 10 minutes.
In 2013, the hotel appeared in a short sketch for the Eurovision Song Contest, hosted in Sweden that year.[19]
In 2014, the hotel main hall, created by artists Alessandro Falca and AnnaSofia Mååg,[20] served as scenography for the Opera by Anton Tjechov (1860-1904) titled "Björnen/The Bear".[21]
In 2019, the hotel celebrated its 30th anniversary.
